We all want to look and feel good in our clothing, being confident when we present ourselves to the world. Some of us have to work harder than others to accomplish this, me being one! My weakness is Starbucks lattes, especially pumpkin spice, which I indulge in at least 4-5 times per week! Another weakness is Boom Chicka Pop, Butter or Sea Salt flavored of which I can eat an entire bag within a day! Neither of these weaknesses help in my fitness journey!
So, to achieve my personal fitness goals, I typically work out 4-5 times per week. My routine was the gym for 45-60 minutes and/or walking for 30-60 minutes in my neighborhood. However, to shake things up, in May 2023, I added a new way to burn calories and relieve stress into my weekly routine, HOT YOGA!! I absolutely love this new addition to my routine, I attend classes 3-4 times per week and would highly recommend to anyone looking to become leaner and stronger, increase flexibilty and balance, tone and relieve stress all in one!
I currently have a monthly membership with Yoga Six and they offer a wide range of classes. My two favorites are Y6 Hot with Thi and Y6 Sculpt & Flow with Breanne (Oakland Ave. location in St. Louis, MO). In the Y6 Hot class, you will SWEAT from every pore in your body with the room temperature being between 100 and 105 degrees, while the temperature in the Y6 Sculpt & Flow class is about 85 degrees, still hot! These room temperatures make hydration a must! I always have a bottle of water with a packet of Liquid IV added to ensure I'm staying hydrated throughout the one-hour long classes.
I started with an into offer, which I paid $26 to attend unlimited classes for one week. I was hooked after that and officially became a member! I look forward to these classes and they have truly made a difference in how I look and feel. I am committed to being fit and fly and hope this may inspire you in your personal fitness journey!
